05/21/2006: "What's a Keeper?"

Here's a picture of some of my high school friends taken at the reunion, "The Last Dance" in the old (and I mean old) cafeteria of the school. Friends (33k image) I'm still thinking about the reunion, all the people I saw, ones I still don't remember and ones who didn't remember me. I threw away my high school year books years ago so I can't look anyone up. Do you still have your high school yearbooks? It amazes me what people decide to keep and what they throw away. I didn't miss my yearbooks until the reunion, now I wish I had them. I'm one of those people who can't stand clutter so I get rid of all sorts of things, and then years later, I'm sitting here wishing I hadn't tossed them in the trash. Something I would never ever throw away--any of my daughter's baby pictures. Is there something you could never part with?

I still have all my yearbooks, though I never look at them, so I'm not sure why. smile

I wish I had the Feng Shui book you let me borrow. If I remembered the title, I'd go get it. Like you, and using that book that summer, I don't keep a lot anymore and what I keep I keep for a reason.
Forever keepers? Baby/kids pix for sure. My journals. That is really all I am as sure as I can be today that I will still have when they plant me.
My high school was so small we didn't even have a yearbook. Crazy, huh.

Hello Mary, After our high school reunion I picked up your new book on vacation. It was a nice afternoon read. Yes, going back to our old High school all those years later was interesting. But I guess since we graduated in the sixties from what I hear about Vegas standards now it should have been blown up long ago, It was definitely old looking. What would I always want to keep...a set of antique books from my great grandfather. Good luck with your writing and I hope you have a nice summber.
